Plenary and Keynote Lectures are given by internationally recognized invited Speakers.
A selection of free communications will be grouped by topic.
Symposia will be the forum for the companies.
Posters will carry equivalent scientific status to oral communications in the programme.

Special sessions are dedicated to the National Member Societies who will have the opportunity to address their members and /or congress participants in their own language if preferred. The programme of those symposia is under the responsibility of the representative of the member societies.

The ESGE organises especially for residents and young gynaecologists Educational lectures.
Several leading European teaching centres have been asked to participate in this project.

The session will provide the necessary information in a very didactic manner relying on the huge experience of the training centres and with the use of computerized animation and video demonstration.

SCIENTIFIC SESSIONS
The scientific sessions are held in the following halls:

Hall B – Sala SPARTIVENTO
Hall C – Sala CAMPANA

SPEAKERS PREVIEW ROOM
Room Fenicia - Level 0 – close to Hall B-Spartivento
Speakers Preview Room is available in Sala FENICIA on level 0 of the Chia Congress Centre.

Please note that only PC data projection will be available during the Congress.
Speakers are requested to check into the Speakers Preview Room with their PowerPoint presentations, at least 2 hours prior to the start of their session.

Should Presentation be in any other format, speakers are requested to check in at least 5 hours prior to the start of their session.

Speakers with their presentations on personal laptops, floppy disks and CD ROMs are kindly requested to go to the Multimedia Communication Centre to have their presentation copied.

The presentation will be then forwarded, via LAN network, from the Multimedia Communication Centre directly to the laptop in the appropriate room.

We kindly recommend Speakers to contact the Multimedia Communication Centre at the Preview Room the day before their presentation.

GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE ESGE

Saturday, 16 October from 18 :00 to 19 :30, HALL A - SALA CHIA

Only Members of the European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE), who paid their membership contribution for the year 2004, will have access to the General Assembly. If your membership fee is not paid yet, you still can do so at the ESGE stand.

ESGE HONORARY MEMBERSHIPS
The ESGE forwarded F. Loffer (USA) and D. Dargent (France) as candidates to receive the Honorary membership 2004.
Both candidates will be honoured after their lecture and will be formally nominated at the time of the General Assembly.

AWARDS
The best oral communication or video presentation will be awarded with the R. Palmer Prize (value 500 euro).
The best poster will be honoured with the ESGE Poster Award (value 400 euro).
The Educational Grant 2004 (value 10,000 euro) will be awarded to the applicant, indicated by the ESGE Grant Selection Committee.

CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION – ECM
Target audience
Surgeons - Gynaecologists - Obstetricians

Italian Physicians wishing to receive Continuing Medical Education (ECM) must register at the ECM desk, carried out by the Local Committee Secretariat on level 0 Room Bithia of the Chia Congress Centre and they will be given an evaluation Form at the time.

ABSTRACT BOOK
Abstracts are published as supplements to the journal of the ESGE “Gynaecological Surgery”. Registered Participants are welcome to obtain a copy from the Springer-Verlag Editors Stand situated at level 1 – Exhibition Area “Club House”, in exchange for a voucher found in the Congress bag.
